Forests, Fisheries, & Wildlife

Educational partnerships with Alaska’s natural resource agencies are available but few take advantage ofthe agencies’ expertise to bring career experiences, challenge-based learning and engaging experiences to Alaskan classrooms.
Working with these agencies, teachers will create resources and engaging standards-based lessons that simulate the use of technology by these scientists in the field. Forest ecosystem, fish and wildlife, fish habitat restoration, stewardship for thinning, NOAA climate change and conservation activities are among the areas we will be investigating.
